is a central focus for us at Gasthaus Antonia in Lofer. As a sustainable hotel in Lofer in the Salzburg Saalachtal region, we aim to offer our guests an environmentally friendly holiday – without compromising on comfort or enjoyment.
With the Mobility Card, you can use all public transport throughout the entire province of Salzburg free of charge. Starting from winter 2026/27 (expected), a call taxi service will even be available right outside our house. This way, our guests can begin their holiday in a stress-free and climate-friendly way.
Energy Efficiency
Our guesthouse relies on a sustainable energy supply:
- Solar energy for hot water
- Our own electricity from photovoltaic systems (during snow-free months)
- Heating with wood pellets
- LED lighting throughout the entire building
We also consistently focus on sustainability in our kitchen:
- Regional ingredients (e.g. from Zell am See, St. Martin & across Austria)
- No single-use packaging for jam, honey, and butter
- Towel changes only upon request
- Consistent waste separation
Our rooms and holiday apartments are also equipped with sustainability in mind:
- Care products in glass dispensers
- Reusable makeup remover pads & organic cotton swabs
- Drinks in glass bottles
- Glasses and jugs for fresh tap water
This way, we reduce our carbon footprint, enable you to enjoy an environmentally conscious stay in Lofer, and combine comfort with a responsible approach to our environment.
We implement further sustainable measures in our hotel. We pay attention to efficient energy use, use energy-efficient appliances and lighting systems and promote recycling. We attach great importance to the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products and offer our guests the opportunity to change towels and bed linen on request in order to reduce water consumption.
Our sustainable philosophy goes beyond energy supply. We work closely with local suppliers to source regional and seasonal products for our kitchen. In this way, we support the local economy while reducing CO2 emissions from transporting food.

Our overnight guests will enjoy the new Mobility Ticket. This allows you to use the public transport network during your stay. This is included in the mobility fee (currently € 0.50 per person/day from the age of 15).
